A Hero Is Reborn in the Aztec Empire
The play takes place in the 16 th century, when Aztec culture was thriving, as the main character, a courageous boy named Yohualli Coatl, is caught in the gears of destiny when he loses his father to the murderous hands of Spanish invaders. Yohualli escapes in search of justice and he warns in an attempt to find shelter in the great city of Tenochtitl to take vengeance.
There, with the bat god Tzinacan as his teacher, he train to be a warrior – it is not only so that he can vengefully act against those who had killed his father and all the others, but it is also to protect his people against invasion.

On his way to becoming an avenging magic warrior Yohualli has to encounter his allies and foes, the wild and fearless Jaguar Woman and the mystical nature-loving Forest Ivy.
