Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7
Bigg Boss Malayalam is here again with new surprises and this time it is going to be bigger, bolder and more exciting. The fans finally got what they had waited long to hear because season 7 officially started on August 3, 2025. The much-anticipated reality show hosted by superstar Mohanlal is back with a new set up and a new house that has been specially built in Chennai in a Bollywood entertainment park especially to accommodate the Malayalam version. The Bigg Boss house has been transformed altogether with sloped jail rooms being done and the interiors being remodeled.
Who’s Entered the Bigg Boss House So Far?
There are 14 contestants who have entered the house so far. There will be TV personalities and social media stars, vloggers, and models that should add a lot to this season.
Here’s a quick rundown of the contestants revealed so far:
- Aneesh T.A.: The first person that was to be introduced in the house. Aneesh is a commoner who hails from Thrissur and he left his job in the government and took a 5-year leave to get his Bigg Boss dream. He is also a farming enthusiast who is also a writer.
- Anumol: a mini-screen actress who is a favorite choice of the fans, came to fame as the representative of the well-known show Star Magic. She is the second one to enter the house.
- Aryan Kathuria: A Hindi and Malayalam Television thing, Aryan has appeared in a movie like 1983, he is the one with the massive Instagram following.
- Akbar Khan: Akbar is a singer and the fifth participant to enter the show. He made it to the limelight through the show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’.
- RJ Bincy: by her entry we can see her entry is dramatic enough and she says Bigg Bosse… The introduction of RJ Bincy promptly took note, she said RJ Bincy is around.
- Oneal Sabu: The food vlogger and activist based in Kochi is a second-year law student and is bringing law and food style to the house.
- Dr. Binny Sebastian: AWith a last name like Sebastian, we now know that he/she will be the token eye candy. A familiar face on mini-screen, Binny is bound to bring the drama and good looks to the show.
- Abhilash: Actor and dancer, Abhilash is the ninth contestant and is expected to raise the entertainment bar.
- Rena Fathima: The youngest contestant this season, Rena is a popular social media influencer from Kozhikode.
- Munshi Ranjith: Known for his work in cinema and television, Ranjith is ready to shake things up inside the house.
- Giselle Thakral: Giselle is the twelfth contestant who is a model, actress, and entrepreneur that adds glamour and brains.
- Sarika: An award-winning anchor and a vlogger who gained a lot of popularity due to the online interviews.
- Shanavas: Best known for his role in the serial ‘Kumkumapoovu’, Shanavas joined as the 14th contestant.
Mohanlal Sets the Tone With a Strict Message
In the launch, Mohanlal explicitly alerted the housemates that, safe game was a dirty game. That is not going to be the case in this place.” Seriousness of the game and drama are to be contemplated.
New House, New Rules, New Energy!
The current season is the first time that the show has its own house contrary to the season before which was shot in hired locations in Mumbai and Chennai. The new real estate project in Chennai is more contemporary and has a special structure with a sloping jail.
A Pre-Entry Twist: Task Before Stepping In
This is a first in The Bigg Boss Malayalam and the contestants were required to complete a task, prior to even entering the house. Reading the letter that she had a task was Renish Rahman the second runner-up of Season 5.
What’s Next?
There have been no official announcements such as the number of contestants on the show but buzz suggests that 20 participants are expected to take part in the show away. Aryan Kathuria, Anumol, Aneesh, Akbar Khan, RJ Bincy and even a lesbian couple Adil and Fatima Noor are some names that are fluttering the prediction makings.
