Mahavatar Narsimha Day 19 Box Office: ₹213 Crore Worldwide, Big Drop After Record Weekend

Mahavatar Narsimha Day 19 Box Office: This non-stop gallop of Mahavatar Narsimha has to an extent been checked, but the figures are nevertheless amazing. Mythological animated blockbuster produced by Ashwin Kumar has now surpassed the 213 crore mark in its worldwide collections making it the biggest grosser in Indian animation of all time despite its third Monday seeing a huge drop in collections.

Sharp Decline After Record-Breaking Third Weekend

The film grossed 5.25 crore net in India on Day 18 (August 12), with a fall of 77.66 per cent when compared to opening weekend, reported film industry tracker Sacnilk. In India, the Kleem Productions film has grossed 174.9 crore net in 18 days theatrical release.

Interestingly, it had its worst one-day business on its opening day of only 1.75 crores net. Comparatively, the third weekend after its release together made 44 crore net proving the point that word-of-mouth played a great role in helping it perform later.

Worldwide Box Office Collection Breaks Records

Released on July 25 in Kannada with multiple dubbed versions, Mahavatar Narsimha has grossed ₹213 crore worldwide in 17 days, including ₹11 crore from overseas markets.

Its presenter, Hombale Films, celebrated the achievement on X, writing:

“210 CRORES+ worldwide gross & counting… #MahavatarNarsimha continues the glorious run, shattering records and winning the love of millions worldwide.”

Trade Analysts Hail the Film as a Blockbuster

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel called it a blockbuster, noting that the Hindi version alone delivered ₹39 crore net in its third weekend, with big jumps on Saturday and Sunday.

Taran Adarsh pointed out that the third weekend’s ₹38.96 crore was higher than the film’s entire first week (₹32.63 crore) and also surpassed its second weekend (₹35.23 crore).

#MahavatarNarsimha shows no signs of slowing down… SENSATIONAL,” he posted.

Final Verdict

In spite of the new releases, Mahavatar Narsimha persists to rule the box office. A small beginning and record breaking, what started as an animated epic about Lord Vishnu and his third and forth avatars has shown that great storytelling makes animation a massive hit in India.
