Mirai Movie Review (2025): Teja Sajja’s Superhero Adventure with Stunning Visuals

Mirai Movie Review : Grand superhero sagas are not a new thing to Telugu cinema. Following the performance of Hanu-Man, Teja Sajja, the actor, comes back with another fantasy adventure, Mirai. The film, led by Karthik Gattamneni, holds some spectacular visuals, mythology-based narrative, and a fast-paced action. But is Mirai the right blend between spectacle and emotionality? We shall see in this review.

The Story of Mirai

The very core of Mirai is a mystical legend. Following the bloody Kalinga war, Emperor Ashoka placed nine strong granths (books of wisdom) under the protective custody of secret guardians. Several hundred years later a black power comes to take these books and destroy.

Teja Sajja stars as Veda, a scrapyard employee who gets to learn his secret purpose of being the appointed guard. He has to come to save the ninth granth by the guidance of visions and sages to prevent the evil power.

Performances

Teja Sajja as Veda

With his young allure and vigor Teja Sajja carries the film. His action scenes are particularly impressive as well as the scene in which he initially gains his superhero powers.

Manchu Manoj as the Villain

Manchu Manoj is the evil villain with a fated black sword. With his dominating performance and physical appearance, he is a powerful competitor to Teja.

Shriya Saran as the Mother

The emotional center of the story is Shriya Saran. Her motherhood to Veda is a plus more so in the second half when her relationship with her son is brought to life.

Ritika Nayak as Vibha

Ritika is the one who is the seeker who discovers Veda. Though her character does not seem to be developed, she offers significant assistance to the hero journey.

Direction and Visuals

Karthik Gattamneni conveys visual spectacularity through the best cinema and VFX. Among visual elements of the film, there are the mythological animations, supernatural struggles and the animatronic bird Sampati.

The storytelling, however, does not always keep up with the size of the images. The story is going to be too long before it can develop urgency and some of the emotional lines feel forced.

Music and Background Score

Composer Gowra Hari mixes Sanskrit songs, orchestral beats and heavy background music with action sequences to add more intensity. There are no traditional songs in the film, but the score is a good complement to the experience.

Final Thoughts

Mirai is an ambitious endeavor to produce Indian superheroic epic. It glows with spectacular effects, good acting and mythology. Nevertheless, it is not always the scale of its world that is matched by the storytelling. Mirai is an excellent movie to watch in theatres (although fans of visual effects and adventures with superheroes might miss the emotional aspect), and you would have desired more of it.
