Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment have teamed up to bring the viewers this crime-thriller in the form of a cinema feature, adding a new milestone to Indian digital content as viewers the web series expands into a film.
Announcement and Release Date of the Incredible Mirzapur The Film
The film is expected to hit the screens in 2026 with Puneet Krishna returning as the director and Gurmmeet Singh as a co-director. Gurmmeet Singh, who directed 17 episodes of the web series, has great experience and deep ties to the story and characters. After the theatrical run, the film will stream in over 240 countries on Prime Video, but Pakistani viewers will be required to wait eight weeks before the film’s turn for streaming.
The announcement of the movie has sent Mirzapur fans to the Moon. Recently, the cast of Excel Movies with Mirzapur released a promotional video which involves Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu talking about their roles in the film. In this promo, Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit) says, “That’s why we say, we like to gamble.” On the other hand, Divyenndu (Munna Bhaiya) recollects his famous saying from the last season, ‘We told you, we are immortal.’

Mirzapur’s tale is primarily about lust for power, vengeance, and crime in a little town in Uttar Pradesh, India. For its sophisticated story, sturdy brawling, and unforgettable personas, it has grown in popularity within the Indian audience.
