BLACKPINK’s Rosé Wins Big with Bruno Mars
International pop star Rosé, who’s in BLACKPINK, received the Best International Pop Song in Japan prize for her smash hit APT. with Bruno Mars. The attractiveness of their joint effort has put them at the top in Japan, where their music is streamed more than 12 million times per week on Billboard Japan.
She is also recognised for APT. in the Song of the Year award, placing her against important names in Japanese music like Creepy Nuts, YOASOBI and Mrs. GREEN APPLE. Being nominated shows that Rosé is gaining popularity as a solo artist, despite BLACKPINK’s huge achievements.
NewJeans Crowned Best K-pop Song in Japan
Considered another milestone for K-pop, NewJeans won the prize for Best K-pop Song in Japan for the viral track Ditto. Because of their cool, refreshing music and spirited attitude, NewJeans continues to stand out among today’s girl groups.

This year’s awards in Japan included recognition for other well-known K-pop artists.
