The original Sisu (2022) shocked viewers all across the world, with its savage survival story and unusual, almost mythical version of a quiet war hero. On the basis of such a sudden success, the creators release Sisu: Road to Revenge, a follow-up that further develops the plot of the ex-Finnish commando Aatami Korpi. Plot Summary

The action of the story is in 1946, immediately after the World War II. Aatami Korpi, a battle-touched Finnish former commando crosses to Karelia, which has been taken over by the Soviet Union. This time it is not war or treasure he is going after but his old home being returned and dismantled to take it to Finland.

But his presence arouses the red anger in the Red Army. Aatami is hunted down by a ruthless commander Igor Draganov (Stephen Lang). The next is the bloody combat, resourceful survival tactics, and the unstoppable warrior against the overwhelming odds.

The movie does not seem like a kind of an appendix or an imposition. The tone, the atmosphere and attitude of the characters are the same as the original, and the identity of the franchise is retained.
